Piastrella Triennale Marazzi

Overview

In 1960, at the Milan Triennale, Gio Ponti designed a tile for Marazzi that was destined to be an icon in design history. For the first time in the world of ceramic wall tiles, straight lines were ignored in favor of a curved shape with sinuous contours that offered unlimited compositional possibilities. A design lesson still valid today, more than 60 years later.
